How to install Windows Server 2003?

This installation of Windows Server 2003 R2 is done to CDM  S875WP1-LX server without RAID.  S875WP1-LX is also known as S875WP1-E which will give you more results if you need to find some additional information from Google.

1. Before you start to install make sure you have the SATA drivers (or other drivers that you might need). For S875WP1-LX drivers can be found here.

2. When you have all the necessary drivers in hand, boot your server from Windows Server 2003 Disc 1

3. Once Windows Server 2003 has installed you need to enter the product key that can be found from the case of the disc

4. Next insert your desired licensing mode (Suggested: "Per user/Per Device"). Note that Per User/Per Device mode replaces Per Seat mode, used in previous licensing models in earlier Windows Servers.

5. You have successfully installed Windows Server 2003 R2!!

Additional steps and configuration:

1. In order to get networking working in CDM S875WP1-LX you have to install networking drivers manually. It has Intel Pro 100 & Pro 1000 NICs. Drivers for those can be found here.

2. Go to Control Panel - System - Hardware - Device manager and find devices that have yellow "?" icon in front of them. Manually update drivers for these devices.

3. Try that everything works.
